Return to Mencap Northern Ireland
Posted on 24 Mar 24 Mar

Your Mencap Marathon socks and cheer boards are on their way, ETA Saturday 2 April… location, your doorstep!

We want you to help us replace ‘selfies’ with ‘feeties’ by tweeting your feet when you don the socks – let’s make some noise on social media!

To help you put your best foot forward we are sending you your very own #doit4mencap socks. These have been specially designed by Andrew Bonner, who has a learning disability and lives in one of Mencap’s Supported Living Schemes.

It would be great if you would tweet your feet and share your soles on social media. You can tag us on Facebook /MencapNI or on Twitter @Mencap_NI.

Fundraising Tip: Why not share your online giving link with the picture?

We have also included a Cheer board that your family and friends can use to help cheer you on. They can join us at the finish line or at one of our cheer stations listed below;

  1. Holywood Road (Strand Cinema)
    2. Sydenham By-Pass (Belfast City Airport Footbridge)
    3. Queen’s Bridge (Bridge End/Oxford Street)
    4. Westland Road (At the Alliance Pharmacy / Morris Estate Agents)
    5. Antrim Road/ Junction of Floral Road
    6. Shore Road/ Junction of Mill Road
    7. Duncrue Street (Roundabout)
    8. Ormeau Road (Pavillion Bar/Kaffeo)
    9. Ravenhill Road (At the Cherryvale Playing Fields)

There will be extra goodies at these stations to help make some noise as you complete your challenge to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with a learning disability in Northern Ireland.

Remember it’s feet tweeting week Sat 2 April – Sat 9 April

Here’s our ‘tweet sheet’ for inspiration – simply snap, post/tweet & paste the copy below:
